Mrs. Hermelinde (Lafond) Morin, wife of Samuel Morin, died Monday [ June 7, 1943 ] afternoon at a local hospital after a long illness at the age of 78. A native of St. Monique ,P.Q., she had resided in this city for 40 years. 

She is survived, besides her husband, by six daughters, Mrs. Philas Lampron, Montreal, Mrs. Charles Ross, Boston, Mrs. Elphege Provencher, Mrs. Louis De Grandmaison, Mrs. Romeo Roux and Mrs. Valere Demers, Manchester; five sons, Philias Dubé, Norwalk, Conn., Baromee [Borromee] Dubé, Sherbrooke, P.Q., Evariste Dubé Concord, Nestor and Ephraim Dubé, Manchester; 53 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Morin, Nicolet, P.Q., Mrs. Elas Dubé, Lachine, P.Q., and Mrs. Wilfrid Duhamel, this city and two brothers Adelard Lafond, this city and Joseph Lafond, Notre Dame du Bon Conseil, P.Q. 

Mrs. Morin attended Ste.Marie church where service will be held Friday morning. The body is the home of her daughter, Mrs. Romeo Roux, 336 Granite street, with J.N. Boufford & Sons in charge of arrangements.
